Watch CBS News Videos OnlineHow do you say, "Wow”? I attended the AAPD American Association of People with Disabilites Gala in Washington DC on March the 8th, while working with Pride Mobility Products. I have to say that AAPD President and CEO Andrew Imparato is one impressive man. He and his staff are to be commended for putting on what I consider to be the most fabulous event I have ever attended.

The Chloe Magazine Dare to Change the World Fashion Showcase in Anaheim California the last weekend in May was a great success. The models were incredibly beautiful in fashions from David Lega, Louisa Summerfield, Jordan Silver, Liz Callahan and our latest designers, ModCloth.

When you hear the word “accessory” what comes to mind? Hats, shoes, jewelry, hair jewelry, scarves, hosiery, gloves, “fashion” glasses? Accessories really run the gamut and can be pretty much can be anything you wear IN ADDITION to whatever clothes you’re wearing; a great many thing can be labeled an “accessory,” see. And yes, this is a very good thing. No why…? Because {quotes}accessorizing is the best, cheapest, easiest, fastest, and most fun way to amp up your look!{/quotes} And all of this is especially true if you use a wheelchair. If you can’t stand, sliding your bum into a tight A-Line skirt for example, can be the most work you do in a day (and it shouldn’t be). So why not accessorize instead? Bangles and fedoras (fedoras of all fabrics) are very in right now. The same goes with what are called “statement” necklaces. Something big yet simple, very unique, and above all, eye-catching. If you look, anywhere from Claire’s at el mall to your favorite vintage store should sell such an essential jewelry item.
